For 3 years, this blog served as a place to share my social enterprise concept, including all the many activities I undertook in service to that concept. Rather than start a new blog, I'm staying firmly planted right here (virtually speaking) so that people can search back through all the musings, events and activities...There's some really good stuff there that I even need to revisit myself!
It turns out that my life's mission is, for all intents and purposes, the same mission that I created for the Time Well Spent concept I created... How incredibly cool that I came to that realization!
Even as the vision for Time Well Spent as a physical center remains highly conceptual and visionary, I am able to move forward in service to my mission each and every day...And, thanks to the path my journey has taken ~ bumps and all ~ as I have been learning and growing, I have been sharing and connecting...both online and in Massachusetts as a board member of the Mass. Chapter of the Social Enterprise Alliance.
To put it lightly, I have SO MUCH to share that will give people hope about our future and lots of ideas and resources that will provide guidance and empowerment as to how to be a part of inspired change that our world is so ready for.
MOVING FORWARD...
Moving forward, the blog will serve as the place where I share my JOURNEY to a life of Time Well Spent, a journey that goes beyond my dreams for a center that embodies my original (and awesome) vision that somehow came to me (I see myself as the steward to the concept, so the "awesome"ness is all about me being in awe of this transformative idea that came to me in near complete form ~ with all kinds of moments of self-doubt and Why Me?!)
I am sharing my journey because sharing it will serve my mission by providing info and opportunities for people to consider their daily lifestyle and consumer choices, encouraging people to explore their own journey as well. It's also very much a "lead by example" way of life, so sharing is my way to provide those who follow my journey the example which they can (and I hope will) in turn use as inspiration to lead by example in their own lives.
When it comes right down to it, I think it's pretty darn exciting how it all works together... Very yin/yang, energy is aligned and all that really wonderful, crazy but true new age (based on old ideas) stuff. Helping you help others helps me live my life's mission... Very cool if you can follow all the help that's going on and all the good that comes of it!
So...Educating myself, learning, growing...Sharing that story... Inspiring & empowering others... And, through it all, our collective awareness is raised concerning the impact of our choices. As our awareness increases, we make better choices because we are caring, compassionate people at our very core. With blinders off, and a sense of stewardship to fellow (hu)man and our planet, it becomes strikingly clear that the pie in sky, too good to be true, rose-colored glasses stuff isn't beyond our reach at all...
It just takes enough people to say, "I'm in!"
And, everyone reading this has what it takes. You just have to make the choice. Whether you're ready to dive in, already a few strokes ahead of me, alongside me or a few boatlength behind, or even if you are just hesitantly dipping your figurative little toes in the water... I hope you join me.
