Here I am with Christine McCall, my contact at C2C. This is from the baby drive in the spring. C2C is always in need of baby equipment, clothes and toys. It's there most challenging category when it comes to meeting the great demand.

Visiting from California, my brother Robert accompanied me on the baby delivery run to Quincy and enjoyed a tour of the Giving Factory, but only after helping to empty the filled-to-the-brim carload of baby stuff, including the latest in diaper pail technology!
You may recall that I had put the DeClutter For Good drives and my monthly newsletter on hiatus for the summer so that I could work on the business end of getting Time Well Spent, my mission-driven start-up, launched…
About Cradles to Crayons
A reminder that Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that provides free, “good enough for your own child” clothing and equipment to tens of thousands of kids in need each year. C2C works efficiently to provide care packages of donations to those less fortunate, freeing up the smaller, local service organizations to focus on their important work to support those families in need. Those care package requests are processed and hand-selected for each child by volunteers at their warehouse known as The Giving Factory… A wonderful system of community and caring! I’ve blogged about C2C tons… To learn more, just put cradles in the search engine on the right and see what comes up.
Here’s are some pics of me dropping off donations at the C2C Giving Factory:
Following is the full email I received from Volunteer Coordinator Lindsay ~ I’m including the entire thing for those who don’t live right in the Ipswich area in case you or someone you know might be interested in getting more involved with supporting Cradles to Crayons by organizing and/or hosting donation drives or serving as a drop-off location.
To Our Wonderful Champions,
I hope that all of you are enjoying the sunshine! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for more beautiful weather and no more rain.
As many of you have requested, we would love to keep you posted on our critical needs. For the last couple of weeks, we have been out-of-stocking new arts and crafts supplies and shoes (both sneakers and sandals) like crazy. We’ve also started running low on most summer clothing sizes. It would be wonderful if all of you could help spread the word and potentially organize collection drives in your neighborhoods, offices, children’s summer camps, etc. We’re happy to help with fliers or anything along those lines. Let us know if you have any suggestions on how we as a staff can also do more outreach to the broader community for these high need items.
On another note, please find some helpful handouts attached to this email. The first attachment (Info Slides) includes information that you might use for various presentations or speaking engagements. The second attachment (Handout Slides) includes documents that you can print out and distribute to others. If there is any information beyond what is included in these attachments that you would like from us, feel free to email me back.
Thanks in advance for all your help!
Best,
Lindsay
